About Me

I’m Laura and I’m so glad you are here...whether you’re getting ready to book your first appointment or if you’re just checking things out!

I love being a therapist and am honored to do this work with my clients. I have a passion for digging in and helping others discover more about themselves in the context of relationships and life experiences. You will find therapy to be highly personalized and creative with evidence-based techniques to help you achieve positive and powerful changes. Modalities I use include Polyvagal Theory, Attachment-Based Therapy, Pyschodynamic Therapy and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I am an LPC and hold a Master of Science degree in Education as well as a Master of Arts degree in Counseling.

You can’t change your past, but you can change your future through new understanding of yourself and by breaking dysfunctional family patterns.
-
The mind and body are deeply connected, and understanding one naturally leads to understanding the other.
-
Personal growth leads to contentment with oneself and deeper relationships with others.
-
The way we talk to ourselves and about ourselves matters. In other words, be as kind to yourself as you are to a good friend.
-
Therapy produces permanent biological changes in the brain.

-
We are meant to evolve, and therapy is a way to do just that.

Therapy is serious business, but there’s room to laugh in all of that seriousness!
